Instead of approaching the market with a set of requirements to fulfil, you can:
- ask the market to provide a solution for a digital outcome
- directly hire a digital specialist who has the skills you need

Follow the steps in the brief builder to create your brief. Your progress is automatically saved as a draft until you publish.
Select who can respond to the brief. We recommend ‘All qualified sellers’ to get the most out of the expertise on the Digital Marketplace.
The "Skills and experience" section is where you set the questions that sellers respond to. For each one you add, sellers have a limit of 150 words to answer. You download their responses as a spreadsheet for shortlisting once the brief closes. If your brief is for an individual specialist, you will also receive resumes.
Choose the additional information you will request from sellers at the evaluation stage.
You can publish a brief on the Digital Marketplace for 1 or 2 weeks. For Digital Outcome briefs after the brief closes you will need to give shortlisted sellers additional time to complete a full proposal. The deadline you request the for full proposals is up to you.
Preview your brief and the questions seller respond to. The publish dates show you when you will receive your responses. Share the preview URL if you need approval to publish (Stage 1). Once approved, click "Publish brief" to publish the brief on the Digital Marketplace.
