All sellers on the Digital Marketplace Panel are assessed for corporate stability, digital expertise and value for money before they can apply for an opportunity. You still need to consider if a seller is suitable for your needs, and perform any required due diligence.
Publish quickly and easily
First-time buyers have reported they can create and publish an opportunity within 30 minutes. Response times vary, usually between 1-2 weeks. Others are flexible, depending on the opportunity type. In some cases, it is possible to have a proposal or resume from a seller in less than one week if you choose.
Competitive market prices
‘Open to all’ opportunities encourage competition in the market. This promotes better value for money.
In most cases:
- 15 sellers compete for every specialist opportunity
- 8 sellers compete for every outcome opportunity

Support meeting diversity aims
Sellers can elect to showcase their Indigenous, disability or diversity status through badges that are searchable. This can help buyers meet certain policy requirements, for example the Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP).

The Marketplace helps buyers meet their Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP) obligations. We do this by listing all currently approved indigenous sellers.
Buyers can filter by 'indigenous business’ in the seller catalogue. This also helps support and grow the indigenous business sector within government. The Marketplace verifies indigenous sellers with Supply Nation — Australia’s leading database of verified indigenous businesses.

The Digital Marketplace provides a single source for seller insurances and financials that you need in your enhanced due diligence. All seller documentation is available on request when you are considering awarding a contract.

Smarter legals and flexibility
All contracts awarded through the Marketplace fall under our Master Agreement. The Master Agreement allows buyers and sellers to establish contracts that meet the simplicity or complexity of their needs.
